The Center of the Performing Arts opened in 2010 with the goal of providing comprehensive arts education to Eastern North Carolina. The school offers a wide range of performing arts lessons and opportunities in dance, drama, and musical disciplines for students of all levels, from beginners to those aspiring to pursue a career in the arts. We offer dance ballet lessons, tap and jazz lessons, and contemporary dance lessons in Havelock, NC.

The staff at The Center is selected for their expertise in their art form, love of teaching, and commitment to excellence. The programs are continually evolving to provide students with not only quality training but also to nurture creativity, self-confidence, and self-esteem.

The Center offers numerous performance opportunities for students, their families, and the surrounding community. From our full-length productions of the holiday favorite, “The Nutcracker,” to parades and tree lighting events, students experience the thrill of live performance and its educational rewards. Students also enjoy the numerous summer camps offered each year.
