Dress Code

Dress Codes By Class

The Center of the Performing Arts strives to provide the best quality dance instruction and learning environment available for its’ students.

Arts education develops self-esteem, teamwork, self expression, critical linking skills, and has been linked with improvements in health and academic skills.

Our dress code is an important part of the class structure and it saves you money in the long run. Dress code teaches responsibility and assists in keeping students focused on class and not what they are wearing. When they are dressed appropritely they will move better. It assists the teachers in being able to correct the student’s posture and alignments as well.

Dress codes are used for recitals and will help to reduce the overall cost. Other brands and styles should not be worn in normal classes but are acceptable for rehearsal.

Uniform Care: All tights and leotards can be washed. Hand washing is best. For best results, do NOT put in dryer.

NOTE: Bloch-Capezio-Balera are shoe brands and Merry Jane-Daisy-Super Jazz are shoe styles.
